I'm 43 years old and a bit overweight (289 lbs. ready to ride). I live in Utah, love children, boating, camping, shooting and longboarding. When I was young, in the 70s and 80s, I rode skateboards a lot. Then came a family and a career, and I got out of it for awhile. When my oldest son got into high school, he needed a wood shop project and built a longboard. This got me riding again and almost the whole family involved in building and riding boards. When we started, we didn't know what equipment to use, what was good and what was bad. So after a little trial and error,(and some good advice from Fullmer) we found equipment we liked and decided to share the information that we have learned.
